The Backyard

Today I stood and looked out the window in my kitchen...time and time again. First of all, Kimo was right when he said that I would love this window the most in our new house. It is large, and shows the incredible views of the surrounding mountains. But best of all, it overlooks our large back yard and today, my joy came from watching the boys play.

Two little bored boys in the house. So I suggested they make a bike jump out of the dirt piles in the backyard. Hmmm. Sam thought about it, and yes, he felt with a few supplies it would work. He didn't ask for help (good). But I watched (as I did dishes and chores) and he brought out the shovels. They were snow shovels, but Sam insisted they would work because they were bigger. Then along came the wheelbarrow. Not sure what that was for, but I did observe him "relieving himself" while standing on top of it later in the day. Nick joined Sam with a pair of scissors and began cutting some weeds. They were out there for hours.

I never saw a bike jump. Tomorrow, I'll suggest they finish it up.

Rebecca! I found you on Lonni's blog. Caroline was looking over my shoulder as I was perusing your posts and was ecstatic to find Abby's photo on there. I absolutely, positively, cannot fathom how beautiful that baby boy of yours is. You look great and radiant in that pink color, too. I don't even know where you are--Utah? hope to catch up soon...
