Summer is Over

I need to admit that summer is finally over. After driving down Provo canyon it's hard to argue that summer is still here. The autumn hues are in full bloom and it's breathtaking. Every time I make that drive I try to savor it. I still feel incredibly lucky to be living in such a beautiful place and don't think I'll ever tire of the breathtaking views. But summer is gone and we look forward with hopeful anticipation of fun, activity and adventure.

Before moving on, I must document summer 2009....because it was a busy one.

We bought a new house, went to a family reunion in Idaho, attended Kimo's 30th (yes, I said 30th) highschool reunion in San Diego (without kids), camped in Arches National Park and other various events....BYU soccer camp, girls camp, and a trip to Andover (chloe).....science camp, lemonade stand and friends (abby)......mastering the ripstick, obsessing about bokugon (sp?...sam)....and last but not least celebrating a 5th birthday, riding a two wheeler, and making new friends (nick). Oops almost forgot Bradley....wow, what a handful....screaming for food (still), changing diapers ALL day long, climbing into dishwasher, pulling everything out of cupboards etc....just like all the kiddies before....but our constant entertainment and love of our life.

It's been busy, hectic, crazy, borderline out of control. But it's been fun. And now, we're back to routines, school, soccer, real dinners at home, and reading before bed. Good kids, great family, happy life.

Forgot to mention the families, including us, you were forced to house, feed, and entertain as you were still unpacking from the move. Thanks. Hope we can stay with you again soon.
